The history of human communication is full of symbols that earned their meaning over time. I stumbled into it out of curiosity when I was traveling around Latin America and other regions in my 20s for work.

I started drawing what would become GLiFS in 2020. Meditating through the process has been healing. Even with AI taking over internet culture, I kept drawing on my iPad, looking for gestures and motions that feel alive, even before they're animated.

There's potential energy stored in each GLiF.

My time and care, but also something deeper we don't fully understand yet. We're still figuring out why certain forms feel true when arranged together.

I wanted to share them with the world freely so you can compose your own stories and have fun with them. No one knows what anyone will make yet, and you'll have two-plus weeks to explore it together. That's the exciting part.
