The history of human communication is full of symbols that earned their meaning over time. I stumbled into it out of curiosity when I was traveling around Latin America and other regions in my 20s for work.

I started drawing what would become GLiFS in 2020. Meditating through the process has been healing. Even with AI taking over internet culture, I kept drawing on my iPad, looking for gestures and motions that feel alive, even before they're animated.

There's potential energy stored in each GLiF.

My time and care, but also something deeper we don't fully understand yet. We're still figuring out why certain forms feel true when arranged together.

I wanted to share them freely so people could compose their own stories with them. Between 4 and 22 June 2026, 1,947 GLiFS were made. They placed over 16,400 GLiFS, used every one of the 300 originals at least once, and created pieces I never could have expected. The collection is fixed now. The play continues.
